About the artist

Books are illustrated by Latvian award-winning illustrator, painter and graphic designer GitaTreice.

Gita received a Master of Arts Degree from The Art Academy of Latvia. She illustrated and designed more than 100 books, has received awards both in Latvia and in international book competitions. Gita is a nominee of the prestigious Hans Christian Andersen Award and the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award. In 2018, she received the Jānis Baltvilkas Award.
